Last night the officers of the San Giovanni Police Station-Barra, during the territory control service, while passing along Corso Bruno Buozzi they noticed two people without protective helmets riding a scooter whose driver, at the sight of them, reversed direction to evade the control.
A chase ensued during which the driver performed dangerous maneuvers for road traffic until, having reached via Marghieri, they were stopped; furthermore, the passenger was found in possession of a “Glock” cal.9 pistol with 11 cartridges and erased serial number and another 9 cartridges of the same caliber.
The policemen accompanied the man to the police station where, shortly after, his father arrived, cursing the policemen and damaging the gate to access the building; the officers, not without difficulty, stopped him.
A 17-year-old Neapolitan was arrested for receiving stolen goods and carrying and possession of an illegal weapon, while his father was reported for resisting a public official and aggravated damage.
Finally, the two were charged with violating the Highway Code for not wearing a protective helmet.
