Yesterday afternoon the police officers from the police station Vomero, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, they intervened at a supermarket in via Sergio Abate following a report of a person who had stolen some goods and then attempted to escape.
The police officers, who arrived on the scene, found that a security guard at the store had shortly before stopped a man who, after having removed several food items from the shelves, had walked past the cash registers without paying and had attacked him in order to escape.
The officers checked the man and found 10 jars of chocolate, a bottle of beer and a pack of sausages in his backpack.
AK, a 37-year-old Ukrainian with a criminal record, was arrested for improper robbery, while the goods were returned to the owner of the business.
