From Thursday it starts at Napoli “Clean Neighborhood 2023”, an initiative promoted by the Mayor and coordinated by the councilor for urban hygiene, Vincenzo Santagada, in collaboration with the councilor for Legality, Antonio De Iesu and in synergy with Asia, the Municipal Police and the Municipalities.
The street cleaning operations under the bells, which require longer times, have already been started in the past nights. In this first phase, a monthly program has been developed that will see, on an experimental basis, radical sweeping and washing of sidewalks and streets in the absence of parked cars, on about 60 main and secondary roads identified by the Municipalities.
The calendar is published on the website of the Municipality and Asia, further interventions will follow for the other streets of the city Municipalities. To this end, a temporary parking ban for cars is established from 7 am to 12 pm. The Municipal Police will proceed to fine and/or remove parked cars.
In some areas, a mobile vehicle will also be positioned where residents of the affected neighborhood can deliver all the bulky waste they wish to get rid of.
“We hope for full sharing and collaboration from the citizens and I thank them in advance for their participation – said the councilors Santagada and De Iesu – We strongly believe in the collaboration between citizens and the Administration to start a new cultural path aimed at improving the quality of life, pushing to change the habits of that minority that still continues to abandon waste on the streets”.
