The perimeter road in the stretch from Scampia, a suburb of Naples, to the municipality of Mugnano has been closed for 21 days due to the theft of some guardrail occurred on the afternoon of Thursday 6 April.
The road closure is causing significant disruption to traffic in the Scampia area, where all the cars coming from the municipalities north of Naples converge and are headed both towards the terminus of line 1 of the Naples metro and towards the capital. There are also slowdowns on the external ring road of Naples and in nearby Melito.
Many citizens are expressing their disappointment also on social media for an issue that, according to them, should have been closed in a few days, in a week at most.
