A Castellammare di Stabia Work to complete the new railway overpass and demolish the existing one will begin on June 12, along the stretch of road of Via San Benedetto near the intersection with Via Ponte Persica.
The completion of the works is scheduled for September 8, 2023. By order, the closure of the road section is ordered with a consequent ban on vehicular transit in the section of Via San Benedetto in correspondence with the new and existing overpass near the intersection with Via Ponte Persica.
Vehicle traffic will be diverted onto the roads near the section affected by the works, towards traversa Vecchie Fontanelle, via Savorito, via Provinciale Ripuaria, via Provinciale Fontanelle.
The company carrying out the works, they underline to the Municipality, will guarantee residents accessibility to their respective properties by establishing specific safety measures, pedestrian corridors, etc., in total safety both day and night and for the entire duration of the works.
The start date of the works had been set for December 5, 2022, then postponed because it would have caused serious criticalities for local traffic in light of the concomitance of other road works already underway on a stretch of bordering road called Via Vecchie Fontanelle as well as the presence at the beginning of Via San Benedetto of a very busy school complex.
