Benevento, the Carabinieri report an illegal parking attendant

I police della Stazione di San Giorgio La Molara, coordinati dalla Compagnia di San Bartolomeo in Galdo con la collaborazione dei militari del Nucleo Operativo e Radiomobile della Compagnia di BENEVENTO, hanno denunciato in stato di libertà un 41enne della provincia di BENEVENTO, già noto alle Forze dell’Ordine, per tentata estorsione.

The investigations began last June, when a married couple from Val Fortore reported that a man had approached their car while they were parking on a well-known street in the Sannio capital, ordering them not to park in the paid parking spaces, identified by the typical blue lines, but in an area not marked by horizontal signs and demanding money for parking, which the couple refused to give him, leaving the car in a regular parking space and going away to run some errands, finding, upon their return, the bodywork scratched on one side.

Thanks to the viewing of images taken by the cameras of public and private video surveillance systems present in the area and to photographic recognitions, the carabinieri located the man, identified him and reported him to the Judicial Authority for the attempted extortion. He was also proposed to issue the "urban daspo" with removal from the place where he tried to extort money from the unfortunate couple.
