The series, produced by Sky Studios, Wildside, a Fremantle group company, and Titanus Production, a Titanus group company, is written by Peppe Fiore and directed by Alessio Maria Federici.
Salvatore Esposito plays Vincenzo Palmieri, a police inspector who comes from the streets and belongs to the streets. Just like his mentor, theInspector Rizzo, the mythological Piedone, from whom he learned everything and made immortal by Bud Spencer with 'Piedone Lo Sbirro' from 1973
In the police they say he is irregular, undisciplined, ill-tempered: all true, but he makes up for it with talent. He believes in justice but in his own way, and believes that, to obtain it, the official law is not enough.
Joining Salvatore Esposito in the cast are Silvia D'Amico, who plays Commissioner Sonia Ascarelli, and Fabio Balsamo, who plays the role of Deputy Inspector Michele Noviello.
Commissioner Ascarelli is a career cop who believes in rules and procedures: everything that Palmieri cannot stand.
Noviello, on the other hand, would have liked to study medieval history, but ended up working in the police. And he did well: even if no one would ever say it, he was born to be a cop - because in addition to his instinct, he has a gift, humanity.
The authors of the series plot are Salvatore Esposito, Giuseppe Pedersoli, Peppe Fiore, Laura Grimaldi, Paolo Piccirillo and Jacopo Sonnino.
The TV series is set in Naples
The series, set in Naples, tells the story of Vincenzo Palmieri, a police inspector who finds himself having to face a new threat to the city: an international drug trafficking ring involving powerful criminals.
