The prosecutors of the DDA Maria Sepe and Simona Rossi have requested sentences that add up to over two and a half centuries of prison for the bosses and members of the Ferrara-Cacciapuoti clan of villaricca.
The trial is being held in an abbreviated form before the preliminary hearing judge of Naples, Chiara Bardi. There are 19 defendants, including the heads of the two criminal families. Another defendant has opted for a plea bargain.
The requested sentences range from 20 years of imprisonment for the two Luigi Cacciapuotis, aged 57 and 64, to 3 years for Annunziata Landolfo, for a total of 259 years. The crimes contested include mafia association, drug trafficking and aggravated extortion.
