A territorial control operation ended with an arrest late yesterday evening in San Pietro a Patierno. The officers of the Secondigliano Police Station, engaged in a patrol service, intercepted a young man in a suspicious attitude in via dei Reggiolari. At the sight of the police, the subject attempted to flee, triggering a chase.
The officers stopped the man, identified as a 27-year-old Napoli with a criminal record. During the search, the police found two packages containing cocaine, weighing about 20 grams in total, and a precision scale, a tool typically used to prepare doses.
The man was immediately arrested for illegal possession of narcotics. The investigation will continue to clarify any further responsibilities and connections of the 27-year-old with other drug dealing activities in the area. In the meantime, the arrested man has been transferred pending trial for the crimes charged.
