An episode of violence during the Serie B match Juve Stabia-Palermo, played last September 14 at the Romeo Menti stadium in Castellammare di Stabia, led to the issuing of a Daspo for a young fan from Stabia. The match, which ended 3-1 in favor of Palermo, was marked by the 19-year-old's attempt to invade the pitch, in addition to the damage to a camera of the VAR system.
After a penalty was awarded to the Rosanero team, the young man tried to climb over the fence to enter the field. During the warm-up, he also threw a piece of plastic pipe at the Palermo players, without hitting them, however. The act of vandalism towards the VAR camera aggravated his position, leading to his identification and subsequent report to the judicial authorities.
The police chief of Naples has issued a Daspo of 2 years against the 19-year-old, banning him from all sporting events. This measure is in addition to five other Daspos issued by the Anti-Crime Police Division of the Naples Police Headquarters. Three of the five Daspos were adopted in relation to episodes that occurred during the Napoli-Bologna match on August 25 at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. The recipients, accused of climbing over barriers and resisting a public official, were punished with a one-year ban from access.
Two other Daspos, lasting one and two years respectively, concern a 37-year-old and a 62-year-old caught lighting fireworks without authorization during the Serie C match Giugliano-Taranto, played on August 23. One of the two was also found in possession of a butterfly knife. Both were reported for dangerous lighting and explosions and possession of pyrotechnic devices during sporting events.
