Torre del Greco hosts the third edition of the DEVOZIONI Festival starting from September 24th

# Torre del Greco Festival for Devotion: between Music, Art and Sport

Conceived and directed by Gigi Di Luca, financed by the Metropolitan City of Napoli and organized by the Municipality of Torre del Greco as part of the project “Tra il Vesuvio e il Mare l'Arte è Circolare”, the festival intends to enhance the coral city through music, sports, art and stories to tell. The 2024 edition is dedicated to the theme of devotion, understood as a passion for life and commitment to human and civil rights.

From 24 to 30 September 2024, the festival includes shows and concerts at the Molini Meridionali Marzoli and moments of public meeting and debate at the council chamber of the Palazzo Baronale and Palazzo Vallelonga. Among the guests expected this year are illustrious names such as Peppe Barra, Simona Molinari, Cosimo Damato, 99 Posse, Vincenzo Abbagnale, Vincenzo Mangiacapre and other representatives of the world of culture and sport.

Statements by the Mayor and the Artistic Director

The mayor of Torre del Greco, Luigi Mennella, underlined the importance of the festival for the promotion of the city, declaring: “We are certain that the proposed moments will be able to draw the attention of residents in other municipalities, promoting the enhancement of the city”. The artistic director, Gigi Di Luca, added: “Music, art and sport can still convey and spread concepts of peace and brotherhood, of love towards others”.

Opening Events

The festival will open on Tuesday, September 24 at 18:21 p.m. at the Palazzo Baronale with the meeting “Devozioni di Sport – campione e olimpico, storie a confronto”. Among the participants, the rowing champion Vincenzo Abbagnale and the professional boxer Vincenzo Mangiacapre. At XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the Molini Marzoli will host the show “Hasta siempre Maradona y Mercedes”, by and with Cosimo Damiano Damato and Simona Molinari.

Next Meetings and Shows

On Sunday, September 29, Peppe Barra will be the protagonist of a meeting at 18:21 pm at Palazzo Vallelonga and of a live show at 30:99 pm at Molini Meridionali Marzoli. The final day of the festival, Monday, September 21, will see the concert of 18 Posse at Molini Marzoli at XNUMX:XNUMX pm. Before the concert, at XNUMX:XNUMX pm at Palazzo Baronale, the meeting “The witnesses of Devotion – life experience at the service of humanity” is scheduled.
