Salerno. An accident shook the campus of the University of Salerno today, where a tree, a 15-meter tall maritime pine, fell under the force of gusts of wind, injuring five students. The episode occurred near the Faculty of Engineering, along the route used by students to reach the Tfa course.

Following the incident, the academic authorities have started immediate checks on the entire tree population on campus to prevent further dangers.

It is a real shame that this incident happened at the university. It was already known that the tree was dangerous and I do not understand why they did not do anything before. Safety should be a priority for everyone, especially in crowded places.
