Afragola. Yesterday afternoon, a State Police operation led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man, originally from Naples, for possession and manufacturing of counterfeit identification documents.
The action of the police forces took place at a diagnostic centre in Afragola, where the officers of the local police station, following a tip-off, intercepted a man intent on using a false document to undergo a medical examination.
The officers, who promptly intervened, stopped the suspect, who during the check showed an identity card bearing his photograph but with the number and data belonging to another person, which turned out to be counterfeit.
The arrest is part of the activities of control and fight against common crime, which see the police engaged daily to guarantee safety and legality in the area.
