On November 7, 2024, at 15.00:XNUMX p.m., an important event will be held at La Casa dei Cristallini in the Rione Sanità: the presentation of the project “I Volti di San Gennaro - il Rione Sanità cheaccoglienza”. This project, born from the collaboration between various institutions and associations, enjoys the support of the III Municipality of Naples and other local institutions.
The initiative to fight educational poverty
The project is made possible thanks to funding from the Department for Family Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, as part of the “Educate Together” initiatives to combat educational poverty. Begun on November 1, 2024 and lasting one year, the initiative is aimed at 88 children, exceeding the initially expected number of participants, thanks to the widespread interest generated.
The goal is twofold: to offer cultural and educational tools to combat educational poverty and create new growth opportunities for young generations. Through four main actions - guided tours, artistic workshops, meetings with other associations and a trip to Procida - the kids will be able to discover the historical and cultural beauties of the Sanità neighborhood.
San Gennaro: symbol of welcome and inclusion
At the heart of the project is the iconic figure of San Gennaro. The faces of the patron saint of Naples will serve as a common thread in this educational and cultural journey. As the story of San Quodvultdeus suggests, Naples is historically a port of welcome and inclusion, and San Gennaro represents the ideal guide for a journey that invites dialogue and community.
A shared commitment to youth well-being
The presentation will see the participation of representatives of the institutions and partner organizations, together with educators and young protagonists of the project. The initiative “I Volti di San Gennaro” is not only an educational experience, but also a process of social and cultural regeneration, aimed at enhancing the resources of the territory.
This public meeting will be the first step to build a bridge between young people and their territory, promoting a dialogue of inclusion and acceptance, and is expected with great participation and interest.
