Share

Starting today, a 24-hour Italian Army presence is active in Piazza Dante in Naples, as part of Operation "Safe Streets." The security measures, established by the provincial committee for public order and safety, chaired by Prefect Michele di Bari, aim to ensure greater peace of mind for students, tourists, and residents in an area characterized by the presence of the "Vittorio Emanuele II" National Boarding School and the nearby pedestrian area.

According to what was declared by Prefecture, the garrison aims to monitor compliance with road rules, especially with regard to the circulation of motorcycles and mopeds within the pedestrian area, and to prevent accidents. Constant monitoring of the area also aims to preserve legality and promote a more liveable urban context.

This initiative is part of a broader plan of controls, aimed at increasing security in the city areas, especially those affected by nightlife and tourist influx. The goal is to guarantee citizens and visitors a serene and safe experience in enjoying the heart of the Neapolitan city.
