A major operation by the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, on the initiative of Europol, aimed at repressing international drug trafficking has led to the seizure of almost 2 quintals of narcotics. Intercepted on Neapolitan territory, the large shipment came from Spain.
The driver of the van, the fifty-five year old SF from Castellammare di Stabia, already known to the Police, was arrested and placed under house arrest. The Guardia di Finanza military personnel, under the coordination of Europol, are on the trail of the accomplices, who are currently unknown.
The operation, coordinated by the Provincial Command of Naples, is part of a program of incisive repression of the drug trafficking coming from Spain, which has already seen further arrests and seizures of large quantities of illegal substances throughout the national territory in the previous months
