Share

A major operation by Naples local police led to the seizure of an illegal mechatronics workshop in the Avvocata neighborhood, used to repair motorcycles without the required administrative permits. During the operation, officers discovered illegally mixed hazardous and non-hazardous waste inside a 15-square-meter warehouse, accessible through a hidden hatch. The area, lacking the required signage to identify materials, revealed serious deficiencies in waste management and disposal.

The owner of the workshop was fined for the administrative irregularities found and reported to the judicial authorities for illegal waste management and building abuse. The seizure is the result of careful monitoring by the local police, aimed at combating illegal activities and protecting the environment and public health.

Checks were also carried out in the Soccavo district, where seven commercial activities were inspected, including five food and beverage outlets. The checks found irregular behavior regarding the cleanliness of the spaces in front of the premises, compliance with anti-smoking regulations, hygienic-sanitary conditions and the surveillance of the premises. In addition, checks were carried out on the occupation of public land, the acoustic impact and the regularity of the outdoor areas. In all cases, sanctions and interventions were adopted to restore legality.

These are the main results of the operations carried out by the environmental and administrative police departments of the local police of Naples, confirming the authorities' commitment to fighting against illegal trading and commercial irregularities, with the aim of ensuring safety, hygiene and compliance with current regulations.
