A 24-year-old Moroccan man was arrested yesterday in Naples on charges of illegal possession of narcotics.
The operation took place inside the Naples Central station, where the infallible nose of Naia, a Belgian Shepherd belonging to the canine unit, led to the discovery of the drugs.
La Police of State, through the personnel of the Railway Police Department for Campania - Naples Central Operational Sector, promptly intervened, assisted by the canine unit of the General Prevention and Public Rescue Office.
When the officers approached, the young man attempted to quickly run away, seeking refuge behind a vending machine for food and drinks. However, once he reached him, the officers found two blocks of hashish, for a total weight of 200 grams, hidden inside his underwear.

This article is about an arrest of a young Moroccan in Naples, but I wonder if there have been similar incidents in the past. The drug situation seems to be getting worse, and it would be interesting to know how the police are addressing this problem.
