Torre del Greco – A veritable scam lab was discovered by the Carabinieri on Via Nazionale. Inside a warehouse, officers from the Torre del Greco operations unit found a series of suspicious items.
Among these, several iconic masks from cinema and TV series stand out, such as that of Guy Fawkes from V for Vendetta, the face of Dalì made famous by Money Heist and the mask of the Front Man from Squid Game.
The blitz of the police It was snapped in the late afternoon, uncovering not only the mysterious assortment of masks, but also a technological arsenal potentially intended for the commission of cyber fraud.
59 cell phones, 3 notebooks and even a 3D printer were also seized
Seized were 59 cell phones, six prepaid cards registered to different people, three notebooks, six USB sticks and a 3D printer with about 90 filament reels of various colors. Among the objects found was also a notebook containing access credentials to numerous online accounts.
The owner of the warehouse, a 31-year-old with no criminal record from Ercolano, has been reported. All the material has been seized and investigations are continuing to clarify the role of the masks in the alleged fraudulent scheme.
