A march through history, music and the future, led by a band of joyful children. On Friday 20 June, the Pompeii Archaeological Park was transformed into an open-air theatre thanks to the contagious energy of “Allegreen!”, the 2025 Music Festival which featured one hundred children from the IC Oriani Diaz of Licola and the Rione Sanità, guests of the Pompeii Children's Museum for a day dedicated to art, discovery and inclusion.
Leading them, among the ancient stones and ruins of the Roman city, the Scalzabanda, the musical band that gave rhythm to a vibrant journey through Casa Rosellino, the Stabian Baths and the Odeion, culminating in a final piece in front of the small theatre. With them the Director of the Park, Gabriel Zuchtriegel, who illustrated the museum's new educational proposals and anticipated the activities planned for the summer and autumn.
Il Pompeii Children's Museum, the result of a public-private synergy and a reference partner for the Archaeological Park's teaching, is today a space designed specifically for children and families, where archaeology becomes a living, creative, engaging experience. In addition to guided tours and thematic workshops, the museum also offers specific itineraries for children with cognitive or motor disabilities, in collaboration with the social farm Parvula House. And that's not all: among the partners there is also Feudi di San Gregorio, which takes care of the vineyards of the archaeological site, combining culture, sustainability and agriculture in a single training project.
Furthermore, from this summer it will be possible to book activities for small groups or individual children, with workshops entrusted to the museum educators, to learn and have fun among the remains of the ancient Pompei. There will be no shortage of live entertainment, with the review “Under the Horse”, which will bring four theatrical performances dedicated to the myth in September, in the external space of Casa Rosellino, with the scenography of the famous red horse of Mimmo Paladino.
