Following several reports, the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, intervened with the top management of Autostrade Meridionali, signaling how "unacceptable what happened is".
“Hour-long queues, risks to public safety and health security, especially in this period – thunders the governor -, cannot be tolerated in the Campania region. These are jobs that cannot be carried out in total disregard for citizens during rush hour”.
