Press release by Valerio Di Pietro, coordinator of the metropolitan secretariat of the PD Naples, on the debate about the postponement of the administrative elections and on a demonstration organized for Saturday by the PD Naples.
“The purely local discussion on the date on which the administrative elections will be held is truly disheartening and continues to take on grotesque aspects,” says Valerio Di Pietro, coordinator of the Metropolitan Secretariat of the PD Naples.
“The PD of Naples has never asked in any place for the postponement of the administrative elections nor can it be said that there is an orientation towards a specific date since, as is known to all, we do not enjoy the faculty of a choice of such magnitude. The vote will be held when the Government decides and therefore we do not intend to engage in a controversy on this front.”
Regarding the path in view of the administrative elections, he continues: “For our part, we continue to dedicate ourselves to the city: Saturday morning we will organize a demonstration outside the Vittoria gallery to denounce the total absence of the municipal administration on a problem of gigantic proportions that is causing enormous inconvenience to the daily lives of Neapolitans, while next weekend, if health conditions allow it, we will go to the city squares to present the program that the PD has in mind for the relaunch of Naples.”
