Scafati. Michele Russo proposes an alternative to avoid the sale of the Comunale stadium and the PalaMangano.
Itogether with my fellow opposition councillors, Michael Russo – leader of the civic coalition Insieme per Scafati –: “We have obviously indicated the assets that can alternatively guarantee the same economic coverage. We expect an unprejudiced evaluation by the majority in the interest of Scafati”.
In fact, the proposal submitted to the majority includes the lands falling within the Pip industrial zone of via Sant'Antonio Abate.
“According to our data,” Russo explains, “at least 70 thousand square meters could be sold for an estimated value of 7 million euros. This far exceeds the sum that the Municipality would collect from the sale of the stadium and sports hall, estimated together at 6.373.158 euros. This would save a piece of our city’s history.”
