Unauthorized. Meeting in the region between the president of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, and the resigning mayor of Casal di Principe Renato Natale.
The mayor had left office after failing to obtain an extension from the Prosecutor's Office for the demolition of an illegal building in which 2 families with 4 minors lived. The meeting revealed that the Campania Region had approved a regional law on alternative measures to the demolition of illegal buildings definitively acquired as municipal property.
After a meeting with local administrators, a law was proposed to Parliament to increase administrative and penal sanctions to combat the phenomenon of illegal building in the future. But everything was blocked by the government. At the end of the meeting, President De Luca invited Natale to withdraw his resignation.
