"The event that will underline the international scope of the May of Monuments 2022 and the Galleria Borbonica will be the cycle of underground screenings of the documentary dedicated by Werner Herzog to rock art.
Shot in the Chauvet Cave in France, the feature film documents paintings dating back 32 years, ancestral evidence of the use of walls as narrative spaces, which connect the origin of humanity with the practice of drawing on walls.".
The announcement in a note is from the press office of the Galleria Borbonica: “To enhance the content of the film, the screenings of 'Cave of forgotten dreams' will take place in the Galleria Borbonica, using a section of its walls located 20 meters deep as a natural screen.
The vision in the silence and darkness of the tunnel will evoke the cave of forgotten dreams, allowing spectators to live a unique experience of enjoying Herzog's masterpiece. The screening of the film will be preceded by a guided tour of the Galleria Borbonica".
