Cira contracts to Casalesi, the Dda requests the trial for 12 people. In September Gup hearing for colluding entrepreneurs and employees.
The Naples DDA has requested the referral to trial of the twelve people involved in the investigation into the alleged infiltration of the Casalesi clan into the contracts of Cira, the Aerospace Research Center based in Capua (Caserta).
The preliminary hearing has been set by the Gup of the Naples court Anna Imparato for next September 29. The central figure of the investigation is the entrepreneur Sergio Orsi, already convicted in the past for Camorra association because he colluded with the Casalesi clan in the waste sector.
Orsi ended up in prison on April 26th on charges of bid-rigging and corruption with mafia aggravation; with him, other people including entrepreneurs, officials and employees of Cira were also hit by precautionary measures. According to the DDA, Orsi would have infiltrated Cira contracts thus favoring the Casalesi clan.
In particular, the GIP of Naples had issued eleven orders (two arrests in prison, three house arrests, three residence obligations and three bans from carrying out business activities), but the decisions of the Neapolitan Review Court have partly scaled down the disputes, especially in terms of the connection with the Camorra clan, considered by the DDA to exist precisely because of Orsi's presence in the procurement circuit.
The Naples Review Court has in fact excluded the aggravating circumstance of Camorra and thus ordered the release of Orsi and all the other suspects subject to precautionary measures, such as Orsi's son, Adolfo (affected by the obligation to remain at home), the other arrested entrepreneur, Fabio Oreste Luongo, believed to be in collusion with Orsi and the Casalesi clan.
