Another water emergency in Marano. New failure leaves Città Giardino residents without water.
In Marano di Napoli the water emergency continues. The citizens are at the end of their endurance in the face of yet another interruption of running water that has been going on for several days in the upper part, in the Città Giardino area and in other parts of the city.
“In the municipality of Marano we are on the fourth day without or at most with a trickle of water.”– explains one of the residents who turned to the Regional Councilor of Europa Verde Francesco Emilio Borrelli.
“In the last 2 days we have received several messages reporting critical issues so we have taken an interest in the matter again and have consulted the Prefectural Commissioners” explains the councilor who has received a series of clarifications from the commission: 'the Region has been asked to intervene with the tankers of Acqua Campania and the Civil Protection. The large tank for on-site supplies is located near the MIO bar, via del Mare corner of via Marano Quarto.
The home delivery service operated by Acqua Campania is coordinated by the PM who takes reports, addresses and reception capacity of private tanks. The other day they dismantled the pump and positioned the sectioning key, yesterday they made the concrete laying plan and today they will position a new pump with a new engine.'
“We will follow up on the matter again until everything is resolved as soon as possible. But the real question is asked: we need to find a definitive solution and stop patching things up. The commission has assured us that it is working on definitive strategic interventions”- Borrelli's words.
