Piazza Garibaldi has become a temple for thieves and robbers due to the constant presence of tourists and this is why the police have intensified controls and presence.
Yesterday afternoon the Falcons of the Flying Squad, while passing through Piazza Garibaldi at the corner with Corso Garibaldi, noticed two men who, with a cautious attitude, were following a tourist; shortly after, one of the two distracted the victim by handing her a flyer while the other took her cell phone from her pants pocket.
A very clever and fast ploy so much so that the unfortunate victim of the theft did not notice anything. But the expert agents were following them from afar in their movements.
The police intervened and stopped them, finding them in possession of the smartphone that had been stolen from the man shortly before.
