Spring illusion, but from Sunday the Ice Russian. In the next few days temperatures will remain at spring values up to 15-20°C and with peaks of 25°C on the Major Islands but on Sunday 26 February we will enter another season.
Meteorologists predict that, with the movement of high pressure towards Northern Europe, a new Arctic core from Russia will descend towards Italy at an anomalous speed: in less than 24 hours, between Saturday evening and Sunday evening, temperatures will drop by at least 10 degrees. Saturday will be a mild day especially in the Center-South, almost hot in Sicily; on Sunday snow will suddenly arrive almost to the Adriatic coast with the Bora.
Scattered rain is expected until Saturday, but still not enough to reverse the drought situation in the north. It will rain for 3-4 days, but in isolated and weak ways; from Sunday the cold will return, but also the dry climate in the northern regions. The forecast for rain and snow in the Center, however, will be totally different: in the next few days we will have passing clouds, but no precipitation is expected.
From Sunday the bad weather could get serious with snow at low altitudes in Marche, Abruzzo and Molise and between Monday evening and Tuesday morning also in Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany: a dusting during the night between Monday and Tuesday in Rome, Terni, Perugia and Florence is not excluded.
