Yesterday morning the agents of the General Prevention Office and the San Carlo Police Station, during the territorial control service, on the orders of the Operations Centre, intervened in via Santa Maria dei Monti in the area of Red Bridges at a reception center for foreigners following a report of an attack on one of the guests.
The police officers, arriving on the scene, were approached by an operator of the center who, pointing out a man, said that the man, after having entered the facility during the night, had attacked a guest, wounding him with a cutting weapon.
Therefore, the officers checked him and asked him to leave the building, but the man went on a rampage, attacking them and damaging some furniture until, after a fight, he was stopped.
AA, a 32-year-old Nigerian, was arrested for injuries, resisting a public official and aggravated damage.
