They are believed to be the perpetrators of three car thefts that occurred in the space of a few days last October.
For this reason, the Carabinieri of the Sorrento company have executed a precautionary order of house arrest, issued by the investigating judge of the Torre Annunziata court, at the request of the Oplonti prosecutor's office, against a man and a woman (whose identities have not been disclosed).
The two are accused in complicity with each other and, on one occasion, with another person who is not yet identified, of three aggravated thefts. On October 8, 11 and 14, the victims had gone to the Carabinieri station in Vico Equense to report the theft of their vehicles, which were parked along the public road.
The investigations, carried out through the acquisition of video surveillance images, allowed the military to ascertain how the suspects allegedly committed, in collaboration with each other, the thefts of the car and moped reported on 8 and 11 October, while the man alone allegedly committed, with the help of an accomplice, the theft of the other motorcycle which took place on 14 October, which he allegedly took possession of after the owner had parked it near the commercial establishment he had gone to.
The woman was arrested in Pagani, while the precautionary order was notified to the man in the Bellizzi Irpino prison, where he is being held for another reason.
