Thus the mayor of Naples and metropolitan Gaetano Manfredi on the sidelines of the presentation of the sixth edition of the summer festival of the Teatro di Napoli - Teatro nazionale 'Pompei Theatrum Mundi 2023' created with the Archaeological Park of Pompeii in collaboration with the Campania Teatro Festival. Present at the press conference Roberto Andò, director of the Teatro di Napoli, Gabriel Zuchtriegel, director of the Archaeological Park, Ruggero Cappuccio, director of the Campania Teatro Festival.
The special contributions, it was explained in the press conference, come, among others, from the Ministry of Culture for a total of 500 thousand euros and from the Municipality and Metropolitan City for a total of 900 thousand euros equally divided between the two bodies.
The new edition of the event will kick off on June 16, presenting four shows at the Teatro Grande of the Pompeii Archaeological Park until July 16 – Clytemnestra, Blood Wedding, Medea and Ulysses, the Last Odyssey, with two performances for each show instead of the three originally planned – by important directors and artists from the national and international scene, each one always starting at 21 pm.
