This morning a team of Anas road workers (FS Italiane Group Infrastructure Hub Company) intervened on the SS162dir in Napoli, together with a patrol of the Carabinieri, following a report from a motorist who had found a stray dog. The girl, returning from the night shift at the hospital, had already secured the animal in her car.
This is a white female, medium-large in size, who, from an examination of her breasts, could have puppies.
The Anas road workers together with the Carabinieri then attempted to track down the owner in the houses near the place where the dog was found (the “Pomigliano d'Arco/Paesi Vesuviani” junction and the junction with the A16 motorway) by moving on foot and even letting the dog lead them for about 3 kilometres, but without success.
The dog was then taken to safety at the Casa Cantoniera Anas in Lago Patria, along the state road 7quater “Domitiana”, where he can count on the care of the two roadmen who took him into custody, the team leader Mauro Palazzo and the roadman Ciro Varriale: “We thank Miss Caterina Esposito who found the animal and we appeal to the owner, in case he should recognize him in the video and photos”.
