Two leading figures, Sacha Mohamed, a Moroccan producer and former vice-president of the Union of Moroccan Producers, and Alessandro Derviso, an internationally renowned director, screenwriter and producer, already selected for the 2022 Oscars for 'The Walk', have joined forces in a bold project, which aims to give a new boost to the Moroccan film industry.
The partnership, called Moroccan Cinema 2023-2027, includes the production of 12 films per year, from the conception of the scripts to their international distribution. The aim is to offer emerging talents from film schools an unprecedented opportunity, providing them with quality training in the field, supervised by world-renowned experts from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood.
A key aspect of the collaboration is to alleviate the financial burden that often hinders Moroccan producers, thus encouraging the creation of high-quality films.
Under the guidance of Sacha Mohamed, a key player in the planned development process, and Alessandro Derviso, an internationally recognized figure, supported by illustrious members of the Oscar Academy, this project gains credibility and promises to be a global success.
