The Carabinieri have seized a shelter for abused women in the Salerno area due to “widespread hygiene and sanitation deficiencies”.
The soldiers of the Anti-adulteration and Healthcare Unit of Salerno, together with those of the Territorial Department and the staff of the ASL, the Area Plan and the Social Services, have executed an emergency precautionary seizure order issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Lucania Valley.
The structure, located in the Diano and Alburni Valleys, did not meet the requirements to operate as a shelter for battered women, as established in the catalog of residential services. The guests were relocated to other suitable facilities.
