Naples. Two young men, aged 22 and 17, were arrested today by the State Police following a robbery and attempted murder of an American tourist, which occurred on the night of October 12 in via Bisignano in the heart of the city's nightlife.
The victim, after being robbed of the necklace, had managed to block one of the robbers. However, the latter, together with his accomplices, reacted with extreme violence, beating and stabbing the tourist, causing him injuries that were considered curable in 21 days.
Thanks to the images from the surveillance cameras and the testimonies, the investigators of the Flying Squad quickly identified the perpetrators. A 21-year-old had already been arrested on October 14. Today, however, the other two accomplices, an adult and a minor, who were in their homes, were arrested.
The three arrested are charged with aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated murder. The orders were issued at the request of the Public Prosecutor of the Court of Naples and the Public Prosecutor of the Juvenile Court of Naples.
We hope that justice will take its course and that the victim can make a full recovery.
