An emotional tribute took place this morning in the Spanish Quarter. Aurelio De Laurentiis, president of Napoli, together with the coach Antonio Conte and to the captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo, paid tribute to the great Diego Armando Maradona visiting the famous mural dedicated to him. An initiative that commemorates the day of the fourth anniversary of the death of the Argentine champion, who died on 25th November 2020.
The president, the coach and the captain laid flowers under the mural, which has now become a true place of worship for fans and an unmissable stop for those visiting the city. A simple gesture, but full of meaning, which wanted to reaffirm the indissoluble bond between Naples and its eternal number 10.
The city, once again, gathers around the memory of the Pibe de Oro, celebrating not only the unrivaled champion, but also the man who embodied the hope and dream of an entire community. The flowers laid under the mural by De Laurentiis, Conte and Di Lorenzo are the symbol of a bond that, after all these years, has never been broken.
