The Municipality of Sant'Antonio Abate has definitively revoked the restaurant and hotel licenses at the “Castello delle Cerimonie”. As announced by Mayor Ilaria Abagnale, this measure marks the conclusion of a long legal process that will lead to the acquisition of the real estate complex by the Municipality.
The three companies that managed the “Grand Hotel La Sonrisa” have been formally informed of the revocation of their licenses, with the consequent immediate cessation of all activities. In the event of failure to comply with the provision, the Municipality will proceed with the forced closure of the locals.
“With this decision – explains the mayor Abagnale – we follow up on the final ruling that condemns the complex for illegal subdivision. The goal is to recover an asset of great value for the community and assign it to a new use, in compliance with the law and the indications of the Court of Cassation”.
The Municipality is already working on a plan for the future of the “Castello delle Cerimonie” and the surrounding area, evaluating both the possibility of demolishing the existing structures and that of recovering them through careful urban planning.

The Castello delle Cerimonie is a complicated situation, I don't know if it's right to revoke the licenses, but the law must be respected. Let's hope the Municipality has a good plan for the future of this area.
Indeed, the forced closure of the premises is a severe decision. I wonder how it will affect the local economy and what will be the fate of the workers involved in these activities.
