In the digital age, Adele Tulli explores the meaning of being human in her second feature film, "Real." The film marks the final installment of the first part of the 2025 edition of "AstraDoc - Viaggio nel cinema del reale," welcoming the director to Naples for a premiere screening on Friday, February 21st at 20:30 PM at the Via Mezzocannone theater, along with producer Laura Romano.

Presented at the 77th Locarno Film Festival, Tulli's work offers a visionary look at contemporary society immersed in a digital multiverse. This documentary explores the nuances of hyperconnected living, with protagonists navigating new forms of digital relationships, work, and identities. "Real" delves into complex issues such as the culture of self-representation, technological addictions, and the transformation of identity beyond the physical confines of the body, using technological tools such as headsets and webcams to narrate this new experience of reality.
Production and Awards
The film was produced by Pepito Produzioni and FilmAffair, in collaboration with Rai Cinema and Luce Cinecittà and developed with the support of the NIPKOW writing residency in Berlin. It participated in industry events such as the Venice Gap Financing 2023 and won the Best Project award at the Milano FilmNetwork Atelier 2023. The screening, with tickets at 5 euros and reduced rates for Arci members, is part of the festival curated by Arci Movie in collaboration with Parallelo 41 Produzioni, Coinor and the University of Naples Federico II, with the patronage of the Municipality of Naples.
