SALERNO – The Prefect of Salerno, Francesco Esposito, on behalf of the Minister of the Interior, today signed the decree appointing the Commission of Inquiry at the Municipality of Capaccio Paestum. The initiative is part of the checks provided for by article 143, paragraph 2, of the Consolidated Law on Local Authorities, which regulates inspection access in municipalities in the event of alleged infiltration or conditioning.
The Commission will be composed of the vice-prefect Savina Macchiarella, the major of the Carabinieri Vincenzo Izzo and Franca Maietta, an official of the Interior Administration now retired.
The access will have an initial duration of three months, with the possibility of extension for a further three, in order to ascertain any irregularities or compromises in the administrative activity of the institution.
