A totally illegal mechanical workshop, without any authorization and submerged by special waste, was seized by the Carabinieri Forestali in the heart of the city of Stabia. The operation is part of the controls ordered by the Carabinieri Forestale Group of Naples to combat environmental crimes related to the illicit waste cycle.
The place that ended up under the magnifying glass was a space of about 40 square meters, transformed into a workshop by a 38-year-old local man, completely lacking administrative or environmental authorizations. During the inspection, the military of the Forestry Unit of Castellammare they discovered an accumulation of about 5 cubic meters of special waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous, resulting from repair activities. Exhausted engines, mechanical parts, plastic and worn tires lay inside the laboratory without any form of regular storage or disposal.
The seizure involved the entire premises, including the workbench and the lifting bridge. The owner was reported to the Judicial Authority for illegal management of waste and unauthorized discharges. An action that confirms the commitment of the Carabinieri Forestali in the daily fight against environmental pollution and illegal building, a battle that - they say - will continue in the coming days with further inspections throughout the province.
