Napoli's race for the Champions League is getting tough after the defeat in Bergamo. In the first 45 minutes, the Neapolitans manage to contain Atalanta's attacks, but never worry Gollini. Just 7 minutes after the restart, Zapata towers over Mario Rui and scores the goal that gives Bergamo the lead; the Azzurri's response is not long in coming, in the 58th minute Politano looks for and finds Zielinsk, who scores the equaliser with a diagonal. A tit for tat between the two teams, Gosens in the 64th minute finds the double, then Muriel, taking advantage of a mistake by Bakayoko, scores the 3-1. Politano once again confirms himself as the Azzurri's player in the best form, because from his cross, Napoli finds an own goal by Gosens. The matter, however, is closed by Romero, who scores the final 4-2.
Another misstep by Gattuso's team, who also loses Osimhen towards the end. The Nigerian, after a fall, hits his head on the ground and loses consciousness, causing fear among players and staff. The first striker of the Neapolitans, however, played a game far below his potential, never managing to be dangerous. With such a short roster and a very confused game, the future of this Napoli remains very uncertain.
