Polfer checked 5 thousand people in the railway stations of Campania and on board the trains
3 arrested, 13 reported, 5.026 people checked and 28 fines issued: this is the result of the activity in the last week of the Railway Police of the Department for Campania in the main stations and on board trains.
The checks, which were intensified due to the increased flow of travellers linked to the summer season, were carried out in collaboration with staff from the local Corporate Protection Office of FS Italiane which, through the use of a cutting-edge video surveillance system, allowed passenger flows to be monitored with extreme efficiency and safety.

In particular, in Naples, last Friday, a precautionary prison measure issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples North was carried out against a 42-year-old Neapolitan who, in the month of October, was responsible for the crimes of theft and attempted theft of some parked cars inside the parking lot of the Afragola station.
The investigations carried out by the Railway Police allowed them to identify the perpetrator thanks to the viewing of the images from the cameras and the reading of the telephone records that confirmed the presence of the man in the station at the time of the theft. The 42-year-old was taken to Poggioreale prison.
Two Algerians aged 22 and 39 were reported as having to answer, in competition with each other, for aggravated theft inside a commercial establishment located in the Naples Central station.
The victim, while sitting in the bar, was approached and distracted by one of the two foreigners, while the accomplice took possession of the purse containing a cell phone, a tablet and the sum of 700.00 euros. Thanks to the images of the video surveillance system, the police identified and located the same day the two foreigners who still had the money and the cell phone on them. The stolen goods were returned to the owner. Two stories with a happy ending in the Naples Central station. That of a 14-year-old girl who was tracked down the day after her disappearance.
The young woman was identified by the police on board a train that she had taken from Agropoli to meet a boy she had met on social media. And that of another girl, 24 years old, from Lecce, found in a state of confusion and entrusted to her family after a day from her departure from her home.
