Naples, Thursday at the Pan meeting 'Culture common good?'. Nunges and Sarli: “No to privatization policies”
They pronounce their “no to the policies of privatization of common goods and cultural heritage” of Naples and the “no to the delivery of collective heritage into private hands”.
They are Senator Paola Nugnes and Deputy Doriana Sarli of ManifestA who on Thursday 12 May will participate in the meeting 'Culture: a common good?' scheduled for 16 pm in the Di Stefano room of the Palazzo Delle Arti in Naples.
The meeting will be attended, among others, by Professor Tomaso Montanari, rector of the University for Foreigners of Siena, and the magistrate Paolo Maddalena, former vice president of the Constitutional Court.
"Culture – the parliamentarians claim – it is a common good and collective heritage that belongs to the people and that cannot be given to private individuals, not even through Foundations, which are nothing more than private entities that manage, according to private interests, public goods with public money. We trust that other important parts of the city will join this appeal, all those who, like us, want to commit themselves to defending this essential constitutional principle, so that the enormous public heritage of Naples remains the heritage of the city".
Nugnes and Sarli declare themselves against “to this liberalist, unconstitutional logic that has proven over twenty years to be a failure even from an economic point of view”.
“Articles 113 and 119 of the Constitution – remember – they tell us that private entities, including institutions, cannot appropriate the common good. It is inconceivable to make private profits on public goods, with public money. It is time to say no to this drift. We will implement all possible tools to counter this failed political and economic model”.
