Free to fly, the new single by Domenico Zumbo: a catharsis among the notes to be reborn from your past.
Music is the moonlight on the dark night of life”, wrote the most famous Russian philosopher of our time, Lev Tolstoy, and the ability to be reborn from the inner darkness, the potential for revenge on ourselves arising from the seven notes intertwined with the deepest feeling of the human soul, remains among the most enchanting gifts granted to each of us. And it is from this irrefutable assumption that the brilliant Calabrian singer-songwriter and actor Domenico Zumbo, who has adopted Milan as his hometown, returns to digital stores with “Libero di Volare”, his new single imbued with all the colors of the soul.
Introspection, awareness and resilience are the keys to accessing your most authentic and sincere self; precious gems buried under the rubble of the past, collected and cleaned from the pain of memories to be able to build, day after day, the inkwell of our future, in which to dip the fountain pen of our hopes, our dreams, our attitudes, as finally autonomous and independent beings, from the judgment of a world that ceases to represent a cage to return to identifying itself in a splendid and colorful home without borders, but above all and even before, from those labels, from those verdicts, from those sentences and arbitration awards that we self-impose, trapping ourselves in our own fears, in our own reservations.
A journey, delicate but very powerful, among the most impervious and hidden paths of mind and heart, harmonized with sweetness and elegance by a sonic breeze capable of exciting from the first listen, which inebriates and transports the senses towards a profound and radical transformation, the most arduous and wonderful of our life, that from the old to the new us.
A perceptive metamorphosis that materializes in a real reunion with oneself, an enchanted breath on feelings and thoughts capable of stripping them of soot to reawaken them, as the artist explains:
“Libero di Volare for me represents rebirth, inner awakening and the strength to look at the world with new eyes and a more intense light. It represents joy, freedom, seen from a different perspective. When I wrote it I felt older than my age; bringing out that hidden emotion was therapeutic and this is what I would like to convey to those who listen to it. Or rather, I would like everyone, listening to it, to be able to listen to themselves, to try to clarify within themselves and be reborn every single moment”.
Intentionally released on the occasion of the singer-songwriter's birthday to support the meaning of a new genesis from his roots, "Libero di Volare" is a hymn to the extraordinary that lies behind and within each of us, supported by a sound with Brit-pop hues, embellished by the participation of an all-female band and the musical direction of Maestro Massimo Carrieri, who took care of the production and arrangement, from which to draw to rediscover one's inner light.
