Women's fashion takes center stage in Vietri sul Mare with IFTA Evening Show, three days of fashion shows and events.
Evening Dresses show is split into three and becomes IFTA EVENING SHOW, the three-day event of fashion shows and events dedicated to women's fashion for cocktails and evenings scheduled, for the first time, in Vietri sul Mare.
Organized by IFTA, with the support of the Campania Region, the contribution of ICE-Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies, in collaboration with CNA Federmoda, Ifta Evening Show will involve 33 fashion & jewelry companies, 23 international buyers from 9 countries (Saudi Arabia, Belgium, France, Germany, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Slovenia and Ukraine) selected and invited by Ice-Agency, 30 operators, almost all Italian including buyers, agents, distributors, buying offices and 12 young designers, finalists of the IFTA AWARDS 2022 contest.
Three groups of fashion shows are scheduled, starting with CHIRINGUITO WEAR. On the evening of July 19, a selection of 110 outfits will take to the catwalk set up at Molo Marcina, the new dock in Vietri, to identify and codify an occasion that has become increasingly popular in recent years: evening wear to wear for an aperitif on the beach, for a dinner by the pool or on a boat.
Younger and more casual, fun and sensual in the evening at the chiringuito, she is recognized for her ensembles that combine creativity, experimentation and research.
The catwalk by the sea marks the return to the fashion scene of the couturier from Salento Gianni Calignano, author of “peace-love” manifesto skirts, but also the return, on the IFTA catwalk, of the Milanese Bianca Gervasio with her vaporous silks, of the Campanians Cerrone, Gianni Cirillo and M&E, of Vuschiché, the Abruzzo brand that signs eco-sustainable collections and of Sel Dì, the Turin brand that has made street art the stylistic feature of its latest creations.
Chiringuito wear by IFTA also marks the absolute debut of Antonia Nicodemo, a young promise of Italian fashion who launches her first pap collection and debuts on the runway in Vietri; of Beltepà from Turin who has established herself for her collections made with fabrics woven on a loom by artisans in Uzbekistan and of Kellé from Sorrento, with her rustling and luminous caftans. And a prestigious new entry is the fashion show by Gerardo Sacco, a hot name in international jewelry who will parade his latest creations inspired by the Middle Ages and Greek mythology. During the fashion show, one of the 11 companies on the runway will receive the Vibes of Art award, put up for grabs by Marco Giordano, patron of contemporary Italian artists at the helm of RE D'ITALIA ART, the international art publishing and collecting srl. For the winner, Re d'Italia and Ifta will reserve a special event in the Castello d'Arechi in Salerno, on a date to be defined.
INTIMATE FASHION SHOW It includes a grouping of 11 fashion shows, conceived with the classic atelier format, preparatory to the B2B meetings that will begin in the early afternoon in the Amalfi room of the same hotel.
Among the brands in this segment, Balestra stands out, the ready-to-wear collection of the haute couture house created by Sofia Balestra that debuts with spring-summer 2023 right in Vietri. Gianluca Capannolo, the Milanese designer present in the most renowned boutiques in the world, and Giada Curti, the Roman designer who has established herself in recent seasons for her very feminine fifties skirts, have also chosen Ifta Evening Show as the stage for the s/s 23 preview. Among the returns on display there will be two Neapolitan ateliers, Ada Sorrentino distributed worldwide by Livia Gregoretti Showroom and Sartoria 74, now synonymous with tuxedos for elegant mannish evenings; the Apulian house Via della Spiga with the new color block sculpture dresses and Officine 904 of Pienza (Siena) which with Anna Porcu is gaining international acclaim thanks to the precious kimono-cameo combinations.
The 'historical' names are joined by debuts such as Gianluca Saitto who brings a preview of his fem-me fatale to Vietri, the couture shirts of the Emilian Di Lab Parì, the new capsule with the After Eight label by the Neapolitan brand FrancescaGeraci and the Florentine tricot-couture brand Maria Sapio.
IFTA EVENING JEWELS is a new special section dedicated to the goldsmith tradition of Campania that will be set in a sixteenth-century site: the Council Chamber of the Town Hall of Vietri Sul Mare, set up with the new fashion proposals of 11 companies famous in the world for the production of cameos, corals and more. It will include Accusato Cammei, Arkano Gioielli, Crivelli Gioielli, Dario Jewel Design, D'Urzo Gioielli, Garofalo Crescenzo, Il Turchese Gioielli, L'Orafo di Mazzillo Antonio, Sereluz, Ro.Ru and Russo Cammei. Goldsmith production is one of the jewels in the crown of Campania manufacturing also from the point of view of numbers: in fact, there are 2.500 goldsmith companies in the region (15 thousand employees) and a global turnover of 1 billion euros, with an export share of 300 million euros. Italy is the third country in the world for jewelry sales abroad (3 billion in exports out of a total turnover of 10 billion) with 25 thousand companies that employ 230 thousand workers.
Still at Molo Marcina on the evening of July 21st, the fashion show of the 12 finalists of IFTA AWARDS 2022 will take place, engaged in the creation of three outfits each, built on the theme Cocktail and Evening Rebirth, the Item of the sixth edition, interpreted by almost all the competitors as a rebirth of consciences in an eco-sustainable way. For most of them, in fact, the rebirth arises from the need to make sustainable and social choices. Together with the models, three Paralympic champions of the Italian National Team will parade: the Italian swimmers Emanuele Marigliano and Vincenzo Pirone and Paolo Mangiacapra, of the National Sitting Volleyball Team.
La competition jury is composed of Beppe Pisani, president of CNA Como and textile producer; Deanna Ferretti Veroni, founder of Modateca Deanna; Francesca Romana Secca, designer relation manager Showcase of Altaroma; Gianluca Capannolo, stylist; Massimo De Giorgio, general manager maison Gianluca Capannolo; Martina Ferraro, journalist of MFF; Laura Lusuardi, fashion coordinator Max Mara; Livia Gregoretti, owner of Livia Gregoretti Showroom in Milan; Simonetta Gianfelici, fashion consultant Who is on next? Massimo Zanchi of New Eventi will choose the winner among Annalisa Palmisano, Benedetta Cresta, Elisabetta Giordano, Federica Cabras, Federico Rossi, Giulia Avallone, Isabella Mazzei, Ivan Izzo, Martina Gallone, Martina Tempesta, Monika Luczak, Silvia Barbieri and Waleska Prieto.
The first prize consists of the production of a capsule made with the style office of a third-party company and will be presented in the 2023 edition of IFTA EVENING FASHION SHOW. Two other awards will also be assigned: the IFTA NEW GENERATION award and the SHOWROOM award, offered by Livia Gregoretti who will identify the collection with the best commercial requirements.
