Peace, citizenship, civil resistance: in Nisida the ninth edition of the Lamberti Prize organized by Jonathan and Gesco.
The ninth edition of the “Amato Lamberti” Social Responsibility Award will be dedicated to peace and will be held on Saturday 10 September 2022 starting at 19 pm in the open spaces of the European Study Centre in Nisida.
Organized by the Jonathan Association and the Gesco social enterprise group with the technical coordination of Exit Communication, the Award will be presented by the journalist Ettore De Lorenzo and is accredited as a training course by the Order of Journalists of Campania.
Aimed at personalities who have distinguished themselves for their actions of civil resistance and solidarity, this year's Award will open with a Peace Award assigned to Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo, the last diplomat to leave Afghanistan when the allied troops decided to withdraw from the country, personally contributing to saving hundreds of children from the bloody dictatorship of the Taliban.
The awards ceremony will follow in the other categories: for Citizenship to the artist Jago; for Journalism to the editor of the daily newspaper Il Mattino Gigi Di Fiore; for Social Work to the president of the Fondazione con il Sud Carlo Borgomeo and for Culture to the publisher Diego Guida.
In the Enterprise category, the Manfrotto and Videndum Media Solutions company will be awarded, always a protagonist of activities in favor of children at risk of deviance; in the “Napoli Città Solidale” category, the lawyer and animal protection volunteer Paola Carbone Falconio. The “Paolo Giannino” mention will be awarded to the A. Chianese Foundation for its activities in favor of the most disadvantaged children. A special award will go to Peppe Pagano, alongside the farmers with a fight that went as far as a hunger strike, to protest against the “massacre of healthy buffalo”.
The Memorial Award will be given to the family of Mario Paciolla to remember the human rights activist and journalist killed in Colombia, and during the evening a video of farewell by Patrick Zaki will be shown. Finally, a plaque will be given to Isabella Mastropasqua, director of the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Together with the president of Gesco Sergio D'Angelo and the managers of Jonathan Silvia Ricciardi and Vincenzo Morgera, the president of the Order of Journalists Ottavio Lucarelli and the wife of Amato Lamberti, Roselena Lamberti, will speak at the awards ceremony.
All the winners will receive a work of art as a gift, thanks to the contribution of some internationally renowned artists coordinated by the journalist and art curator Paola De Ciuceis.
