In Scafati the Feast of San Vincenzo Ferrei. From 5 to 11 September
The city of Scafati is celebrating. In Contrada 28, after a few years, although with different methods, with restrictions and innovations, the celebration in honor of San Vincenzo Ferreri resumes and will take place from 5 to 11 September 2022.
Don Vincenzo Ragone, who has been leading the Parish since October last year, emphasizes that this celebration will be an opportunity to meet again as a people who walk together after the pandemic, who rediscover the beauty of human relationships that strengthen the bond of each of us with the Lord Jesus who is the only force that cements our living together as a community.
From Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th September the Statue of San Vincenzo restored after many years in July, will be carried on a peregrinatio in the streets a little further away from the parish.
The triduum will begin on September 8th with masses celebrated by Father Alessio Romano, Father Gianpaolo Pagano and the bishop of Acerra and president of the Campania Episcopal Conference, Mons. Antonio Di Donna.
On the feast day Sunday 11 September 2022 with great joy and honor the celebration will be officiated by Bishop of Nola Mons. Francesco Marino.
At 17 pm the solemn procession returns through the streets of the parish territory of the Ventotto district. At the end, the mass celebrated by the rector of the Nola Seminary, Don Gennaro Romano.
The civil program includes Friday 9 a singing event "San Vincenzo Talent Show", with songs and dances by the parish family of San Vincenzo. Guest of the evening for the little ones is the Magician Dinì.
There will be food stands selling Neapolitan delicacies.
Saturday 10 September at 21 pm the performance of A paranza r'o Lione. Food stands with the festival of the sandwich with peppers, various side dishes and Neapolitan delicacies.
Sunday September 11th at 21,30:XNUMX pm the Theater Company “Ma chi co fa fa',” presents I Promessi Sposi …Made in Napoli, a professional theater workshop by Ciro Villani. There will be food stands with sandwiches and Neapolitan delicacies.
