Salerno, Confcommercio protests with “Bills on Display”: bills tripled compared to a year ago.
Faced with high bills, shops are defending themselves like this: a major transparency operation, launched at a national level by Confcommercio, to show citizens and patrons of bars and restaurants the dramatic situation in which businesses are forced to operate.
it is the “ ” energy managers initiative.
Bills tripled compared to a year ago, due to the surge in gas prices. A situation that is forcing retailers to choose between price increases, so far very modest, and the suspension of activity while waiting for a decisive intervention by the government.
A silent protest, but not silent, which the provincial sector of Salerno also joined: "At present, in our stores, we have absorbed this increase as a fixed cost - naked and raw, in compliance with an adequate and suitable image to guarantee to customers and, for the same respect due to them, we have chosen not to spread it on retail prices. The protest, in fact, serves above all to make our needs understood specifically, making us also the spokesperson of the needs of the individual consumer, a victim as such of these unsustainable increases" – explains Raffaele Senatore, for Federmoda Campania.
“With this appeal translated into action, framing our bills “in plain sight, we rely on the government in office, together with the new one that will be and the trade associations, to find a solution in the shortest time possible. There is no more time. We cannot afford to become once again the social shock absorbers, as happened during the health emergency, of non-business problems, of which we do not know the exact dynamics”.
