We are Giugliano in Campania and it is almost 18 pm when a Brigadier of the radiomobile section of the local company is returning home. He has just finished his service and is driving his car along via Pigna in the direction of Asse Mediano.
The policeman notices two people: they are also on board a car and their way of driving in traffic makes him suspicious and so he starts the request for support to 112.
The discreet pursuit begins and direct contact is made between the brigadier and the operations centre, which is thus aware of every movement.
In the meantime, the police car from the radiomobile section arrives and the car carrying those two does not stop at the checkpoint but accelerates. A chase begins that lasts several kilometers and ends only when the soldiers manage to overtake and block the fugitives.
We are at the exit of the Melito di Napoli junction and there they are searched. In the trunk an electric bike worth 1.200 euros is found. The investigations allow us to ascertain that the e-bike had just been stolen in Giugliano in Campania.
For the 2 arrested - they are 34 and 31 years old, already known to the police and residents in the Secondigliano Rom camp - the handcuffs. The arrested are awaiting trial and will answer for improper robbery in competition and resisting a public official. The car in which they were traveling, without insurance, was seized while the electric bike was returned to its rightful owner.
